Pads Painter - 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Pads Painter - 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.25 per hour.

What you'll do:

Job Summary
Set up and/or operate/tend machines to paint tanks for power transformers.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in various work centers, including the 4-stage washer, paint booth, and prime booth.

• Manually apply paint to units, ensuring even coverage and adherence to quality standards.

• Mix paint according to specified requirements.

• Check paint logs to measure paint and hardener levels.

• Perform routine adjustments, cleaning, and maintenance on equipment and the paint booth.

• Flush equipment at every break to prevent paint from hardening in the line.

• Correct paint runs, spots, and chips by sanding down imperfections before repainting.

• Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.

• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.

• Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.

• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education level required

• No education required.

Years and area of experience required

• Relevant experience preferred.

Technical knowledge

• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations.
