Overview
Assists in age specific perioperative care and preparation of Vascular Imaging patients by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the hospital. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Provides assistance in emergency as well as elective and scheduled cases. Assists in the preparation, transportation and supervision of patients. Meets physical comfort needs of patient. Reports emergencies and administers emergency treatment and performs other related duties as assigned.
Scrubs instruments and equipment. Works on call as scheduled. Assists nursing personnel with emergency procedures. Assumes responsibility for maintenance and quality control of equipment. Cleans and packages instruments/supplies for sterilization. Assumes role of monitor tech as needed.

- Assist in age specific perioperative care and preparation of Vascular Imaging patients by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the hospital.
- Provide assistance in emergency as well as elective and scheduled cases.
- Assist in the preparation, transportation and supervision of patients; meet physical comfort needs of patients.
- Report emergencies and administer emergency treatment; participate in patient care and quality improvement audits.
- Perform scrub duties and related procedures; assist physicians in locating patients’ films.
- Works on call as scheduled.
- Perform general clerical duties: preparing, compiling and maintaining records; schedule patients for surgery, treatments or tests as indicated; order and store supplies; answer telephone.
- On-site duties: assist with obtaining and preparing routine, confidential, and/or special reports and records.
- Maintain equipment and participate in sterilization processes.
- Minimum Education:
Graduate of accredited school of Surgical Technician preferred or has completed related training in medical field. - Minimum Experience:
1 year experience in the Cath Lab or Operating Room. - Required Certification: BLS.
- Required Licensure:
None. - Skills:
Computer and typing skills. - Note – Required certifications are to be completed within 3 months of employment.
