Overview
Physical Therapist Full Time Days Primarily Outpatient. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
A physical therapist shall plan, direct and perform physical therapy evaluations and care plans individualized to meet the needs of each patient. Care plans promote restoration of function, skin integrity, muscle strength, endurance, and patient/family education about rehabilitation principles, prevention of deformities through exercise and positioning programs, and/or pain management. The physical therapist may supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, PT/ PTA students, and volunteers, participate in scheduling of treatments, multidisciplinary care planning, patient education, and team support of other areas of service beside the home department.
Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved physical therapy program
Required Certification: BCLS within 3 months of date of hire
Required Licensure: Texas Physical Therapy License or temporary license is adequate with permanent license obtained by 6 months after date of hire
Vaccination Policy: Tenet complies with federal, state, and local laws regarding mandatory vaccination. If offered this position and vaccination is required by law, you must show proof of full vaccination or obtain an exemption prior to start date. If exempt, you will submit to regular testing as required by law.

- Develop care plans that promote restoration of function and mobility, improve muscle strength, endurance, and skin integrity
- Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation principles
- Prevent deformities through exercise and positioning programs and/or pain management
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, PT/PTA students, and volunteers
- Participate in scheduling of patient treatments and multidisciplinary care planning
- Provide team support for areas of service beyond the assigned home department
