Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

We seek a highly motivated, experienced Controller to be based at our Nacogdoches, Texas OSB mill. The Controller, reporting to the Mill Manager, and indirectly reports to the Regional Finance Accountant, is a key part of plant management providing analytical support for all financial decisions.

Principal Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

* Responsible for managing site month end close and reporting, all reconciliations and account analysis.

* Responsible for ensuring site inventory counts are being performed and variances explained.

* Responsible for completing weekly/monthly/annual forecasts for the site and corporate FP&A.

* Responsible for completing weekly cost & other ad hoc analysis to assist the site in meeting its cost targets.

Internal Controls

* Responsible for adhering compliance with current internal controls

* Support the General Manager in enforcing site and company policies and procedures.

* Support internal and external testing as required

Process Management

* Support West Fraser centralized or site accounts payable, payroll and fiber procurement and as needed, residuals processes.

* Drive operational and finance process improvement at the mill

Candidate - Experience and Competencies

To be effective in this role, the candidate will possess the following experiences and competencies:

* 4-year degree, in Business, Accounting or Finance. CPA designation or working towards one preferred.

* Related work experience of 3-5 years is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

* Flexible, detail-oriented, accurate, able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Results oriented

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Supervisory Experience preferred.

* Ability to forge working relationships at all levels in an organization.

* Experience with Sarbanes Oxley controls preferred.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Experience with Oracle financial systems preferred and must be proficient in MS Office
