About The Opportunity
Healthcare — Diagnostic Imaging / Radiology services in a tertiary outpatient and inpatient setting based in Mysore, Karnataka. We deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging, image-guided interventions, and rapid reporting to support clinical decision-making across specialties. This on-site Consultant Radiologist role focuses on accurate interpretation, procedural proficiency, and collaborative care.
Role & Responsibilities
Provide timely, accurate diagnostic interpretation of imaging studies including CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray and mammography for inpatient and outpatient cases.
Perform and supervise image-guided procedures (e.g., ultrasound‑guided biopsy, aspiration) in a safe, protocol-driven manner.
Operate and quality-check PACS/RIS workflows, ensure DICOM compliance, and deliver structured, clear reports to referring clinicians.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (surgery, oncology, emergency) to prioritize urgent studies and support clinical rounds.
Participate in protocol optimization, quality assurance, radiation safety practices, and departmental audits to maintain clinical standards.
Contribute to trainee supervision, case review sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on reporting accuracy and turnaround time.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
MD/DNB/DMRD in Radiology or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification
Current registration with the Medical Council (state medical council) and eligible to practise in India
Proven experience in cross-sectional imaging and procedural radiology with strong reporting portfolio
Hands-on proficiency with PACS, DICOM workflows and RIS integration
Capability to perform ultrasound-guided and basic interventional procedures
Available for on-site shifts in Mysore, able to support departmental on-call rota as required
Preferred
Prior experience in a high-volume tertiary hospital or diagnostic centre
Familiarity with mammography/FFDM and advanced CT/MR protocol optimisation
