As a full‑time veterinary assistant in a busy 7‑doctor small‑animal practice, you will play a key role in delivering advanced, comprehensive veterinary care across wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and preventive medicine. You will work in a collaborative, high‑volume environment that values work‑life balance, mentorship, and low‑stress patient handling.

Hourly rate: $14 – $20 per hour, based on experience and skill level.

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday:
  Closed

• 7‑doctor small‑animal clinic (dogs & cats only)
• One doctor with a special interest in orthopedics

• Wellness & Preventive Care
• Soft Tissue Surgery
• Digital Dental Radiography (for all dentals)
• Orthopedic Consultations

• Efficiently run and assist with appointments
• Safe and proper animal restraint
• Venipuncture proficiency
• Solid understanding of preventive care and vaccine protocols
• Ability to explain the “why” behind vaccines to clients
• Knowledge of core vs. non‑core vaccines (including Lyme)
• Confident client communication regarding preventives

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
