Position Summary:

To assist with transporting patients and assist in the flow of patients through the departments. Assist in the movement of medical equipment within the facility and other duties as assigned.

• Ensure mode of transport is appropriate

• Ensure transfers done correctly

• Drape patient comfortably

• Deliver patient chart

• Notify all appropriate personnel of patient leaving nursing unit and arriving in department.

• Attach and remove monitor devices appropriately

• Appropriate transport of IV and notification to nursing staff of any malfunctions

• Identify patient appropriately using name, date of birth, etc.

• Assist with flow of patients efficiently, good communication with staff and physicians

• Change linen and cleans equipment

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
