Role Description

The Individual Giving Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Myrtle Beach, SC. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans to cultivate relationships with individual donors, prospective donors, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing donor engagement, planning fundraising campaigns, organizing events to encourage giving, and ensuring donor experiences are positive and meaningful. The Individual Giving Officer will also collaborate closely with colleagues to support the overall fundraising goals of the organization and report on the success of donor initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Fundraising and donor engagement skills, including experience developing and maintaining relationships with individual donors.
  • Event planning and fundraising campaign management experience to drive donor participation and contributions.
  • Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to connect and build trust with diverse individuals and community groups.
  • Analytical and organizational skills for managing donor records, generating reports, and measuring campaign success.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology and donor management software is preferred.
  • Experience in nonprofit organizations, particularly in development and fundraising roles, is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Passion for community engagement and advancing equity and inclusion in all aspects of work.
