Job DescriptionMy client is hiring an experienced Apple Senior Systems Administrator that will lead in supporting the MacOS platform across the enterprise.
In this position you are required to have advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of the MacOS platform and JAMF.
Duties Include- Automation of MacOS using JAMF/Apple Scripting
- Documentation of system architecture and management within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure high availability of all critical applications while meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- JAMF Pro Server enterprise configuration, documentation.
- Mac incident escalation point for Service Desk Team
- Maintain and Document MacOS build process
- Participate in the requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation of Mac Hardware into build process.
- Perform MacOS patch updates and vulnerability remediation of computer systems and network components
- Present technical solutions to peers and the customer user base
All candidates must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearence
Requirements- 10+ years of progressive technical (hands‑on) experience related to systems development, implementation and administration
- Ability to communicate with end users about complex issues in easy to understand terminology
- Ability to mentor more junior members of the team
- Ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline driven environment
- Advance understanding and troubleshooting of MacOS
- Advanced Scripting knowledge (ex. Apple Scripting)
- Available for occasional off‑hours outages and to take part in service restoration efforts
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related technical field preferred (equivalent experience and certifications may be considered)
- Customer service oriented, attentive to detail, and with strong team and collaborative mindset
- Experience leading the process of Mac OS upgrades, security updates, patches, etc and deploying to the enterprise
- Experience with JAMF administration such as package creation, setting up JAMF self‑service and other available server components, etc.
- Experienced hardening MacOS
- Flexibility in approach to finding solutions
- Good problem‑solving and communication skills
- Self‑starter requiring limited direction and supervision
- Strong project management skills
- Supporting of MacOS in an Active Directory managed environment
- Intune/JAMF Administration
- Security Clearance
- Working knowledge of Windows/Linux
