Overview

The Kingston Resorts is a 145-acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. It is near Tanger Outlets and a short drive to Broadway at the Beach. The resort is home to the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, and Royale Palms. This setting offers opportunities to grow your career.

Responsibilities
  • Directly serve on-site group and catering customers in a proactive manner relative to logistics of group room blocks, food and beverage, public meeting space/exhibit hall, ancillary and vendor services, affiliates/exhibitors and related billing processes.
  • Provide direction and supervision to responsible operating departments and team members during execution of meeting, banquet functions and/or events.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as determined by the Director of Events (e.g., menu review, department, operational department per-shifts).
  • Oversee and assist in the physical movement of hotel or customer equipment or furnishings as necessary to complete a tight turnaround of public function space.
  • Assist customers with the setup of their event, as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
  • Maintain regular attendance in conformance with standards established by Hilton.
  • Be flexible with varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Requirements
  • Ability to supervise staff.
  • Ability to handle multiple customer and operational demands with professionalism and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to operate independently with strong time management and self-motivation.
  • Hotel product and industry knowledge, including staffing, operations, safety, security, union rules, terminology, and health codes.
  • Quantitative data processing and analytical skills to determine and communicate financial, forecasting and space utilization calculations.
  • Ability to proficiency in computer systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, Delphi or in-house sales system) and related tools.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English to understand guest requests and written materials.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and electronic devices (copy machines, slide projectors, microphones, computers, pagers, etc.).
  • Ability to complete contracts with checklists, standards and hotel policies.
  • Ability to maintain organized files in accordance with guidelines to ensure proper activity checklists are followed.
  • Interpersonal skills to provide guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
