Night Auditor - Polynesian Hotel
The Night Auditor will complete normal front desk duties such as answering phones, making/canceling reservations, checking guests in/out, taking payments, and helping resolve any guest concerns. The front desk personnel is often the first point of contact for our guests, a friendly welcome is a must. Communicating overnight events to morning staff is essential for a smooth transition.
Job descriptionThe Night Auditor will complete normal front desk duties such as answering phones, making/canceling reservations, checking guests in/out, taking payments, and helping resolve any guest concerns. The front desk personnel is often the first point of contact for our guests, a friendly welcome is a must. Communicating overnight events to morning staff is essential for a smooth transition.
Job Responsibilities- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address service needs
- Register, take payments, and assign keys to guests
- Inform guests of the amenities and services available to them
- Inform customers of availability and rates
- Handle any guest issues or complaints, using appropriate service recovery methods
- Work with the corresponding departments to resolve any property or guest issues
- Verifies all in-house reservations on a daily basis for accuracy
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems or safety hazards
- Communicate with the morning staff to inform them of any tasks to be completed or updates
- Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Previous experience is preferred but not required
- Able to work for complete overnight shifts independently
- Ability to perform computer-based tasks
- Ability to work independently
