Tax Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Accountant to join our team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In this role, you will manage tax preparation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for a variety of entities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail to deliver accurate and timely tax filings.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.

- Analyze financial data to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.

- Review tax filings completed by staff members to verify accuracy and adherence to regulations.

- Monitor and adapt to changes in tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance.

- Utilize software tools such as CCH Pro System Fx and Quick Books for efficient tax preparation.

- Assist with financial strategies related to corporate tax returns and entity formation.

- Provide guidance on tax provisions and sales tax compliance.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline tax processes and improve overall efficiency.

- Conduct research on complex tax issues to provide informed recommendations.

- Support audits and resolve tax discrepancies as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities.

- Proficiency in tax-related software such as CCH Pro System Fx, Quick Books, and Pro Series.

- Strong understanding of annual income tax provisions and corporate tax processes.

- Knowledge of entity formation and sales tax compliance.

- Ability to analyze financial information and produce accurate reports.

- Familiarity with current federal, state, and local tax regulations.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration and client interaction.
