Are you a seasoned civil engineer with a strong background in residential land development? We’re working with a nationally recognized, prominent home builder / real estate developer that’s actively hiring a Senior Project Engineer to join their growing Myrtle Beach operation. Conduct feasibility studies for new land acquisitions—including cost estimating, constraint mapping, and scheduling.
Manage design plan production for residential communities and site infrastructure—working closely with consultants and permitting agencies.
Oversee construction phase services, such as site visits, pay app reviews, and contractor coordination.
Prepare engineering reports, grading plans, drainage designs, pavement specs, and utility layouts.
Stay up to date with local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring every project meets compliance from start to finish.
Analyze and improve project processes through value engineering and design innovation.
Help maintain momentum across multiple projects by coordinating internal teams, securing resources, and maintaining timelines.
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
Active PE license in South Carolina (or ability to obtain).
7+ years of engineering experience in residential land development.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and hydrology modeling tools (e.g., ICPR4, HEC-RAS, Pond Pack, etc.).
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
A collaborative attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
Bonus points for experience with ArcGIS and familiarity with land development practices along the Carolina coast.
