Position:  Consultant Anaesthesiologist (On-site) — Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh

About The Opportunity

Join a growing clinical team delivering high-quality perioperative care and critical care services for a busy multi-specialty hospital. We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Anaesthesiologist to lead anaesthesia delivery in the operating theatre, manage perioperative critical care, and contribute to patient safety and clinical governance.

Role & Responsibilities

Provide safe, evidence-based anaesthesia for elective and emergency surgeries—plan, administer, and titrate general and regional anaesthesia.
Perform advanced airway management and rapid sequence induction for high-risk patients; lead anaesthesia-related emergency responses in OT and ICU.
Deliver ultrasound-guided regional nerve blocks, spinal and epidural anaesthesia for diverse surgical specialties.
Manage postoperative pain and acute pain procedures; collaborate with surgical teams on perioperative analgesia plans.
Oversee perioperative critical care decisions in ICU, including ventilator management and haemodynamic optimisation.
Maintain clinical documentation, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, and support clinical governance, protocols, and training for junior staff.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesiology (MD / DNB Anaesthesia).
Demonstrable experience in administering general and regional anaesthesia in a tertiary hospital / multi-specialty OT setting.
Proficiency in airway management and perioperative critical care including ventilator management.

Experience with ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, spinal and epidural techniques.
Valid ACLS certification and comfort leading intraoperative and perioperative emergencies.
Willingness to work on-site in Muzaffarnagar and cover OT/ICU rosters as required.

Preferred

Experience in paediatric anaesthesia and obstetric anaesthesia.
Training or competence in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for perioperative and ICU use.
Additional fellowship or experience in pain management or critical care medicine.
