Mechanical Assembly Operative

Connect Appointments are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Assembly Operative to join our Tranent based manufacturing client.

• Full-time ongoing position
• Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
• Paid  per hour

As a Mechanical Assembly Operative, you will be working within the production team to assemble a variety of products, ensuring they meet the quality standards expected. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:

• Ensuring daily and weekly production targets are met
• Using hand tools and basic power tools to assemble products
• Following build guides, work orders, and standard procedures
• Ensuring products meet quality and H&S standards at each stage
• Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and safe
• Working closely with other teams

To be successful you will have previous experience within a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment. Combined with the following skills, traits and experiences:

• Happy to carry out repetitive tasks while paying close attention to detail
• Able to follow both written and verbal instructions
• A strong understanding of health and safety in a factory environment
• Good with your hands and enjoy practical, hands‑on work
