Warehouse Operative – Quantum Packaging

Location: Musselburgh, EH21 6SY

Salary: £13.20 per hour

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Hours: 9 am – 5 pm (30 min break) or 9 am – 5:30 pm (1 h break)

We are Quantum Packaging, providing flexible food packaging to major brands such as Marks & Spencer’s, Pizza Hut, Nando’s, McDonald’s and more. Having grown our revenue by around 35% over the last few years, we continue to invest in our staff and expand our organisation. Now we need a Warehouse Operative to ensure the efficient transition of goods through the production environment – from intake to dispatch.

• Prepare pallets for dispatch.
• Wrap boxes and reels for dispatch.
• Retrieve stock for upcoming jobs.
• Perform stock checks and movements.
• Make polymer and primer mixes.
• Intake goods and inspect/record them on the goods‑ipid system.
• Load goods and record them on the goods‑out system.
• Coordinaterapped with office staff to arrange the working day.
• Manage factory waste and empty the compactor.

Ensure factory laundry is ready for collection and store it appropriately.
• Maintain records of approved, defective semi‑finished and final products.
• Use forklift to move raw Collect, semi‑ніча, finished and packaged goods.
• Keep the production area and surrounding grounds clean and tidy to a high standard, monitoring office cleanliness.
• Top‑up supplies at factory cleaning stations and restrooms.
• Perform basic laboratory work.
• Sort defective goods and repair broken pallets.
• Assist on the extrusion line with waste handling and opening pallets.

• Proven experience as a factory operative.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
• Attention to detail.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Physical stamina and strength.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
