The Maintenance Planner in Muskogee, OK is responsible for improving workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. The role involves planning and coordinating all maintenance activities performed at the site, including day‑to‑day planning, downtime management, and annual outage planning. The shift is Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm (with holidays, weekends and overtime as needed).
Pay range: $26.00 – $38.86 per hour.
- Assist the Operations Department with balancing runtime maintenance services and equipment reliability by identifying proactive maintenance solutions.
- Coordinate long‑range and short‑range planning, analyzing backlog relative to available resources.
- Plan and schedule shutdowns (major and minor) using tools such as Gantt charts (Microsoft Project), Critical Path Analysis, and resource leveling.
- Develop and maintain Planner reference systems, including a file of planned job packages, standard job tasks, and labor and material libraries for each piece of equipment.
- Ensure work orders are meaningful, accurate, and that historical data is captured in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Track and report on functional metrics.
- Create and maintain bills of materials (parts lists) for assets.
- Keep Maintenance Supervisors informed of abnormal or critical situations and seek advice on matters beyond the Planner's knowledge or authority.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including Maintenance, Production, and Reliability Leadership.
- Demonstrate high initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently both as a team and independently.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
- Experience with a computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a maintenance‑related role.
- Experience in a maintenance‑related role within an industrial power plant.
- Associate degree or higher in Project Management, Business, or a Technical field.
- Experience with the SAP platform for maintenance work orders.
