EPI Power is hiring an Electrical Procurement Engineer/ Electrical Purchaser to join our team in Oklahoma!
What You’ll Do:- Prepare and issue Requests for Quote (RFQs) based on approved scopes, specifications, and material requirements.
- Solicit, receive, and evaluate vendor quotations in coordination with procurement and project teams.
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders (POs) in accordance with project schedules and budget requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, and lead times; expedite late or critical items as required.
- Monitor and resolve incorrect deliveries, shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Accounting/AP to resolve invoice issues, pricing discrepancies, and credits/refunds.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, logs, and departmental reports.
- Assist with material inspections, delivery coordination, and site or warehouse support as needed.
- Collaborate with project teams to support procurement execution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience:
3–5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a construction or industrial environment. Electrical background is preferred. - Skills:
- Strong understanding of purchase order processing, vendor coordination, and material tracking.
- Ability to interpret material lists, scopes, and basic technical descriptions.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced project environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues early.
- Technology:
Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Ability and willingness to learn ERP and procurement systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Procore, Kojo, or similar).
