DescriptionThe Bus Driver/Chauffeur II is responsible for transporting passengers in a safe and courteous manner, ensuring the wellbeing of the public and Hope Network property.

- Maintain a safe environment by complying with traffic regulations and the COVID‑19 pandemic response plan.
- Follow emergency procedures and enforce passenger safety/conduct rules.
- Fuel vehicles as necessary.
- Aid passengers as needed and verify that all passengers are properly secured.
- Regulate heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort.
- Keep vehicle interior neat during service operation.
- Maintain manifest information confidentiality.
- Cultivate a professional and positive environment.
- Log accurate records, including fares and radio communications.
- Communicate irregularities to the Customer Care team using a two‑way radio and prepare written reports.
- You’re a people‑person with a passion for customer service.
- You respect rules, procedures, directions, and traffic regulations.
- You have a strong command of the English language.
- You’re eager to join a dynamic team and add to its culture of kindness.
- You may have current or prior experience as a bus, shuttle, or ride‑share driver.
- A valid Michigan Chauffeur’s license (or ability to acquire one).
- Capacity to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Working ability to pass the Department of Transportation’s physical examination.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Adherence to HIPAA requirements.
