Automotive Technician
About Us
Monroe Truck and Auto Accessories has been outfitting trucks and turning wrenches since 1967. We install everything from bed covers to trailer hitches, but we’re not just bolting on chrome—we’re diving into wires, code, diagnostics, and the wonderful chaos that is modern vehicle tech. If you've ever looked at a rat’s nest of wires and thought “I can fix that,” we want to talk to you.

We’re looking for someone who loves vehicles and tech—an automotive electrical technician who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty (and occasionally covered in dielectric grease). Bonus points if you think wiring up a trailer is fun, and programming a key fob sounds like a challenge, not a headache.
You’ll be doing stuff like- Installing tonneau covers, toolboxes, lighting kits, remote starters, running boards—basically making trucks cooler
- Wiring up trailers, alternators, batteries, and golf carts like a 12V ninja
- Learning to cut and program keys like a locksmith-hacker hybrid (training provided)
- Diagnosing and programming golf carts, including fancy lithium battery systems
- Helping out with general shop duties and keeping the place looking less like a tornado hit a hardware store
- You like cars. You like tech. You like learning. You’re weirdly into wiring diagrams.
- You might be fresh out of high school, college, or trade school—and you’ve got the itch to learn and grow.
- You can lift heavy stuff without too much whining.
- You’ve used tools before, and ideally you know which end of a multimeter to hold.
- You work well with humans. (And dogs—our customers bring those in too.)
- You take pride in doing a job right the first time, or at least fixing it like you did.
- Competitive pay – based on what you know, and how fast you learn.
- Training provided – especially in diagnostics, programming, and electrical systems.
- Laid‑back team, zero micromanaging, and lots of learning opportunities.
- Shop tools provided, plus access to diagnostic scanners that make you feel like you’re hacking the Matrix.
- Career growth in a tech‑driven, high‑demand field.
- Occasional donuts, cupcakes, cookies and the most amazing muffins you ever had.
If you’ve read this far and haven’t run away screaming, you might be the person we’re looking for.
