Practical Nurse at Earnest
C. Brooks Correctional Facility. This employee performs a full range of practical nurse assignments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing care to convicted felons at the facility.
- Provide practical nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
ExperienceNo specific type or amount is required. All required documents must be attached and submitted at the time of application for further consideration.

Additional Information- The Department may screen out applicants with felony convictions in accordance with Public Act 191 of 2017.
- Applicants with misdemeanor or felony convictions are ineligible for employment until satisfactory completion of any sentence (including parole or probation).
- New hires and returning MDOC employees may complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) of 40 or 80 hours in person, depending on offender contact level and job classification, with additional required online training for non-custody onboarding.
