The position is a Full‑Time day or night shift at Muskegon County Jail in Muskegon, Michigan.
PayBase pay range: $28.00/hr – $30.00/hr actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care consistently within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. The LPN is responsible for tasks, activities and functions as delegated and may assign duties to others per the state act. The LPN monitors patients as directed by the HSA, DON, RN, or Medical Director or other practitioner.
Minimum Requirements- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
- Possess an active CPR certification.
- Remain knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
- Satisfactorily complete initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned.
- Utilize a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each patient.
- Implement nursing care within the LPN’s scope of practice, complying with all relevant laws.
- Assist in developing and implementing teaching plans based on individual patient needs, focusing on health promotion, maintenance, and restoration.
- Care for wounds with appropriate cleaning and dressing/bandaging.
- Administer medications to offenders.
- Provide care for multiple patients as directed by the Medical Director, DON, or RN.
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to appropriate medical staff.
- Document actions in the MAR and medical records.
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the facility.
