Overview
A Master’s Level Clinician II, under general supervision, performs evidence-based practice according to nationally-recognized standards to reduce symptoms and maximize recovery for individuals receiving services. A Master’s Level Clinician II ensures that all documentation of client contact and treatment services is complete, thorough, and accurate to meet agency, state, and professional standards. The clinician writes initial assessments that accurately build on strengths and deficits resulting in a DSM diagnosis, including history of mental health treatment, relevant family history, and current treatment recommendations.
A Master’s Level Clinician II develops person-centered treatment plans written in the language of the consumer and reflecting the consumer’s goals and measurable objectives. Depending on assignment, this role may be in an on-call rotation and performs other duties as assigned.
- Write initial assessments that inform DSM diagnoses and document history, family history, and current treatment recommendations.
- Develop person-centered treatment plans that reflect consumer goals and measurable objectives.
- Document client contact and treatment services completely, thoroughly, and accurately to meet agency, state, and professional standards.
- Provide evidence-based practice consistent with nationally-recognized standards.
- Maintain flexibility to participate in on-call rotations as required.
The position generally involves sedentary work with occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
Environmental ConditionsWork locations include various Health West program sites; travel within the County may be required.

A probationary period is required before the appointment becomes permanent. PurposeThe purpose of this recruitment is to establish an eligible list to fill present and future vacancies in the County system. The Department Head has discretion in selecting candidates who meet the minimum qualifications. The list remains in effect for three months unless exhausted or extended.
