What You’ll Do
  • Provide individual and group counseling to children and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with school staff and HCC’s provider team to support mental health needs.
  • Deliver consultation, education, and training to school staff as needed.
  • Coordinate behavioral and mental health services for effective care delivery.
  • Accurately document clinical notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Offer evidence-based patient education in individual and classroom settings.
  • Make appropriate referrals to internal and external support services.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited behavioral/mental health program
  • Active, unrestricted Michigan license as an LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP or equivalent
  • CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in Play Therapy preferred, especially for elementary-aged children
  • Clinical experience diagnosing and treating mental health conditions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity
