Overview
A Clubhouse Rehabilitation Specialist, under general supervision and review of Clubhouse’s Clinical Services Supervisor, provides leadership to assigned work unit including organizing, scheduling, and implementation of the work ordered day. A Clubhouse Rehabilitation Specialist educates and supports Clubhouse members in interpersonal skills, independent life skills, teamwork, following directions, and staying on task. The role participates with Clubhouse members in the person-centered planning process, including completion of the Clubhouse skills assessment and goal recommendation form, in consultation with the primary workers, and performs related work activities as assigned.
Responsibilities- Lead assigned work unit by organizing, scheduling, and implementing daily work according to the program needs.
- Educate and support Clubhouse members in interpersonal skills, independent life skills, teamwork, following directions, and task focus.
- Participate with Clubhouse members in person-centered planning, including completing the Clubhouse skills assessment and goal recommendation form, in consultation with primary workers.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Bilingual candidates highly desired.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
- Individuals in Recovery and individuals with experience in Armed Services valued.

Physical ActivitiesAn employee in this class performs generally sedentary work activity requiring occasional lifting of objects weighing thirty-five (35) pounds or less.
Environmental ConditionsA Clubhouse Rehabilitation Specialist works both within the Clubhouse program locations of Health West and in a variety of community settings as activities require. Travel throughout the County by use of personal resources and work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.
Evaluation ContentApplicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position. When such check is conducted, an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check. Appointees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period before the appointment will be considered permanent.

PurposeThe purpose of this recruitment is to establish an eligible list from which to fill present and future vacancies in this classification in the County system. For each opening, the Department Head has her/his choice of the candidates who meet the required minimum entrance qualifications. This list remains in effect for three months unless exhausted or extended.
