We're looking for a part‑time Administrative Assistant at our Muskegon Campus—bring your skills and be part of something great!

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly by providing essential administrative support. Your responsibilities will include assisting managers, employees, and students, managing a variety of tasks, and ensuring the department’s needs are met with precision and excellent quality.

Responsibilities
  • Assist managers, employees, and students with administrative tasks.
  • Maintain both paper and electronic filing systems and prepare materials for meetings.
  • Manage a multi‑line phone system, screening and routing calls to the appropriate parties.
  • Perform data entry into the applicant database and attend professional development courses as directed by the department director.
  • Greet and assist employees, students, and guests with a polite and professional attitude.
  • Produce and distribute correspondence such as memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
  • Sort and distribute mail and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Act as a positive role model and brand ambassador for Baker College on and off campus.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum two years of office administrative experience.
  • Strong customer service skills and proficiency in computer‑related technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential material with discretion.
  • Experience with multi‑line phone systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, printers, postage machines, and copiers.
  • Strong time‑management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions with common sense and clarity.
  • Commitment to Baker College’s student‑first philosophy and ability to support it in daily interactions.
