The Quality Systems Specialist is responsible formaintainingand supporting the company’s food safety and quality systems throughaccuratedocumentation, record management, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures that quality and food safety programs such as HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and CCP monitoring are properly documented, implemented, andmaintainedin accordance with regulatory and customer requirements. The specialist works cross-functionally with production, sales, and marketing teams to provide technical support, documentation, and compliance guidance for customer requests, audits, and product initiatives, whileidentifyinggaps and driving continuous improvement to ensure products are safe, compliant, and ready for sale.

• Maintain and manage all food safety, quality, and regulatory documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (FDA, SQF, etc.).
• Ensure that all FSQA records, including CCP monitoring logs, GMP checks, sanitation records, and corrective actions, are complete, accurate, andup-to-date.
• All art reviews, die line reviews, salesand customer service help.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of FSQA systems, including HACCP, SOPs, and quality management systems.
• Conduct routine audits and inspections of documentation and processes to verify compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify gaps in documentation, records, or compliance systems.
• Assistin preparing for internal and external audits by compiling records, reports, and supporting docs
• Provide training and guidance to employees on proper documentation practices and system compliance requirements.
• Monitor and track compliance metrics, trends, and deviations, reporting findings to management for corrective action.
• Participate in risk assessments, process validations, and FSQA program reviews to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Stay current with food safety regulations, standards, and best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degreein
  
  Food Science, Food Engineering, or related fields from a four-year college or university; ortwotofouryears related experience and/or training or a combination of equivalent experience.
• Certifications or experience in PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and SQF (Safe Quality Food) preferred
