Inventory Control Specialist

Overview

Primary duties and responsibilities for this inventory control role include cycle counting, reconciliations, inventory adjustments, stock location management, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

• Perform daily cycle counts and additional reconciliations per the cycle count program; reconcile inventory adjustments as needed and determine the correct account numbers to use.
• Perform stock checks from the Shipping Dept and the Customer Care Dept; identify, relocate, and scan materials into the correct locations and work with Material Handlers to rectify discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Purchasing, Production, Shipping, Material Handling and Production Planning.
• Collect data on damaged materials and scrap; identify areas for improvement within the inventory control processes and suggest solutions.
• Back up the Materials Specialist and Senior Inventory Control Specialist as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent; significant experience in inventory control or related roles.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Excel experience required.
• Fork and platform lift experience and certifications required.
• Authority to stop production for non‑conforming quality or safety compliance, based on experience and/or company policy.
