• Plans and coordinates, in a non‑supervisory capacity, the underground utility locating business for IES using ground‑penetrating radar, radio detection locators, GPS, and related technologies.
• Works on or leads instrumentation and measurement projects concerning dissolved oxygen or air injection systems, surface water pumps, aeration weirs, and other water quality parameter measurements.
• Interfaces with customers to plan, schedule, and perform work.
• Solicits customer feedback, develops corrective actions when necessary, and expands the business to maximize value to TVA.
• Schedules, analyzes, prepares, and revises project plans and specifications.
• Prepares reports and procedures to document results.

Skills & Proficiencies: Demonstrated knowledge of scientific practices, procedures, and documentation. Strong business and project skills including planning, scheduling, budget development, business development, and customer relations. Excellent problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.

Required Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of underground utility locating technologies (ground‑penetrating radar, radio detection locators, GPS). Thorough working knowledge of water quality and flow measurement and geophysical underground locating techniques. Proficiency in data acquisition and analysis using personal computers, including Excel or similar spreadsheet software.

Education & Experience: Must have satisfactorily completed an Associate Degree in Electronics Technology or another scientific field, or have an equivalent combination of training and experience.
