Role Description

A pre-sales consultant combines technical knowledge and sales skills. The emphasis of the work varies depending on the level of technical knowledge and understanding needed to sell completely the product or service offered and respond effectively to clients’ queries. Clients are usually technical staff from non-retail organizations and to ensure clients and their own company’s needs are met; technical sales engineers liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from departments such as customer service, development, design, purchasing and senior company managers.

Responsibilities
  • Search for new clients who could benefit from company products and services and maximize customer potential in designated regions.
  • Visit potential customers to seek new sales and business opportunities.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements after listening to them and using the best methods to know their needs.
  • Convince customers that the products or services offered will meet their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
  • Negotiate the terms of tenders and contracts, to meet both the needs of the client and the company.
  • Negotiate and close sales after agreeing to terms and conditions.
  • Provides after sales support services.
  • Manage some important client accounts.
  • Analysis of sales costs.
  • Prepare direct periodic reports for the management.
  • Meet regular sales targets.
  • Maintain contact data and record customer data in the CRM.
  • Help design solutions for customized clients.
  • Provide training and support to other members of the sales team.
  • Perform any other work assigned by direct manager within the limits of the job
  • Comply, fulfill ISO 9001:2015 procedures, and audit requirements on annual basis.
