Position Overview
The Sales Engineer, Heavy Equipment, will play a key role in driving sales growth by preparing competitive offers, supporting tender submissions, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. The role involves regular customer and site visits to identify opportunities, gather technical requirements, and provide suitable solutions. The Sales Engineer will also ensure accurate documentation, timely order execution, and coordination with internal teams through SAP.

Experience and Knowledge Requirement- 3–5 years of relevant experience in sales of Commercial Trucks, Heavy Equipment, or Construction Machinery, preferably in Oman.
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of trucks, machinery, and related spare parts.
- Experience in preparing sales quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Familiarity with Oman market conditions and customer base is an added advantage.
- Conduct regular visits to customers, job sites, and fleet owners to identify sales opportunities.
- Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable heavy equipment or trucks.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tender documents based on customer needs.
- Follow up on submitted offers to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Obtain pricing, delivery timelines, and technical clarifications from Head of Sales.
- Prepare cost sheets and ensure competitive pricing aligned with company margin targets.
- Coordinate with the Sales Manager/GM for price approvals and commercial terms.
- Ensure all documents required for government and private tenders are completed accurately.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with Head of Sales to enhance product offerings.
- Process customer orders and ensure accuracy of specifications and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with service, logistics, and workshop teams for pre delivery inspection and any required local modifications.
- Track equipment arrival and ensure timely delivery to the customer.
- Recommend suitable chassis or equipment units based on customer requirements and available stock.
- Coordinate allocation of units based on confirmed purchase orders.
- Create sales orders in SAP upon receipt of an approved deal.
- Ensure materials, local jobs, and free services are correctly tagged in the system.
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, customer interactions, and order statuses.
