Job Description

Purpose: The project manager will be responsible to manage multiple projects with multiple dependencies and integration points—projects have higher level of scope complexity—as per the approved Project Management framework. The job profile demands to effectively coordinate with various units and technology stakeholders, vendors and project teams. The person must be highly organized, have attention to detail with articulation skills and a good team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages multiple projects related to Digital Transformation with multiple dependencies and integration points—projects have higher level of scope complexity—as per the approved Project Management framework.
  • Manages necessary resource allocation and delegation for project management within his/her portfolio.
  • Builds and maintains all project related documentation as per standard PMO methodology.
  • Assembles project team across the business, and partners with the IT & applications Project and Delivery managers to ensure that the appropriate project team is in place to execute the project. Identifies needed resources, assigns responsibilities, and develops time frames to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables.
  • Ensures all projects have an effective governance structure, including steering committee and working teams. Facilitates governance, including status reporting, escalation, risks & issues management, and key decision-making.
  • Responsible for business readiness for assigned projects. This includes, but is not limited to, marketing & communications; training; operational process/procedures; product & services development; legal & compliance; technology enablement.
  • Partner with project team members to prepare reports and presentations to senior management and other key stakeholders to provide transparency around program health, activities, budget and actual costs, progress and adherence to standards.
  • Mentors and coaches project management staff. For those project managers assigned to him/her, ensures all project governance and activities are conducted to the standards and practices of the Project Management Framework.
  • Create and implement a training plan to elevate project manager’s skills to be able to handle multiple projects of complex nature.
  • Create and maintain a business continuity plan for his/her team to ensure zero disruption to project deliverables in case of resignations or emergencies.
  • Partner with assigned area/s sponsor to identify both strategic and tactical initiatives and to assist with prioritizing of both the portfolio and program backlogs.
  • Conduct monthly project portfolio meetings with assigned area sponsor.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to understand their needs and pain areas.
  • Partner with PMO team Program managers.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

  • Should have Project Management knowledge / certification with minimum 9 to 10 years general experience and 5 years related Project management experience as minimum requirements.
  • University degree holder with PMP or Prince2 certifications
  • Experience with the Project management Methodologies.
  • Should possess experience in Applications and Business Management, including Business Process Engineering.
  • Should have strong interpersonal and persuasion skills.
  • Should possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in Arabic and English language.
  • Should possess excellent leadership and decision making skills.
  • Should possess a working knowledge in MS Office (Word / Excel / Power Point etc).
  • Should be motivated, initiative, innovative and dynamic.
Additional Information

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in E-Government projects or with experience in Digital Transformation projects or Applications Implementations for large organisations
