Mechanical Engineer

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer based in Muscat. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical systems and components, utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, managing engineering projects, conducting research and development to innovate new solutions, and ensuring product performance and compliance with industry standards.

• Responsible for supervision and execution of the mechanical scope of works relating to the gas turbine, generator, and balance of plant within the power station, covering mechanical works within the designated time frame.
• Responsible for overhaul programs & planning, spares related issues, engineering queries, troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Preparation of L4 plan during inspection for mechanical activities as per the contractual scope of work.
• Responsible and accountable for the mechanical integrity issues that arise after the completion of the outages.
• Responsible and accountable for the tools/consumables for each outage.

• Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and expertise in Machine Design
• Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and related software
• Experience in Project Management, including resource planning and timeline management
• Proven capability in Research and Development (R&D) for new product innovation
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance in mechanical engineering
