alja  is a venture development and startup ecosystem company operating across Oman, KSA, and the wider GCC region. We run accelerators, venture studios, and ecosystem programs that support founders, corporates, and investors.

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting and financial reporting across our entities, ensure clean books and compliant reporting, and support management with accurate, timely financial insights as we scale.

• Maintain full accounting cycle (GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end closing).
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts (P&L, BS, cash flow) and variance analysis.
• Handle VAT and tax compliance (primarily Oman; coordination for KSA with advisors).
• Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors and authorities.
• Manage payroll-related accounting, provisions, and staff cost allocation.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, documentation, and finance processes.
• Support budgeting, project cost tracking, and cash flow forecasting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (professional qualification is a plus).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with multi-entity or GCC exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT in the region.
• Solid skills in accounting/ERP systems and Excel.
• High attention to detail, reliability, and comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
