Responsibilities3rd Shift - 10:00 pm - 6:30 am Sunday through Friday AM
Starting pay $27.23/hr + Shift Differential

Now hiring at our Murrysville, PA manufacturing plant for a Machine Operator to work in our CNC Department. This role is responsible for:
- Operates CNC machines and performs gauging and visual inspection of parts and washes and prepares for shipment.
- Performs set-up and operation of CNC Mills and lathes to produce component parts that require close tolerances, including checking parts using CMM and contour reader.
- Set-ups include tooling and fixturing for first part run off and inspection.
- Makes adjustments and offsets on the machines, including tool changes using power, air, and hand tools.
- Troubleshooting as necessary to ensure manufacturing of quality parts.
- May perform secondary operations such as assembly or deburring.
- Performs yearly validation of machines.
- Performs preventative maintenance activates on the machines including lubrication and maintaining coolant/oil levels.
- Completes and maintains paperwork.
- Maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.
- Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they relate to the production and company’s objective is required.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Proven ability to:
- Operate CNC equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, or EDM.
- Read and understand G and M codes and their functions.
- Read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
- Understand standard units of measure and metric system.
- Set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
- Understand and operate complex machines such as optical comparator, profilometer, coordinate measuring machines, calipers, contour reader, micrometer, and others as needed.
- Perform lockout/ tag-out.
- Operate a pallet jack.
- Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance, and up to 100lbs infrequently with assistance.
- Wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Demonstrate positive attitude and willingness to follow directions.
Education and Experience required:
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 1 year experience or completed a minimum 240 hour certification program in Machine Tool Technology, Precision Machining, CNC, or related field.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field
- Minimum of 6 months previous manufacturing or related experience
The pay grade for this position will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and course work. The role is budgeted to begin at Grade 10.
- The successful candidate is expected to meet all criteria necessary to progress through all levels of the Machine Operator progression program.
