Assistant Store Manager
We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves a mix of store operations, inventory management, and employee leadership.
Responsibilities- Assist with day‑to‑day store functions and activities.
- Provide positive customer service and address customer questions or concerns.
- Organize and transfer merchandise from the delivery truck to the stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas.
- Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Process all corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other store communications.
- Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays.
- Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits, and receipts).
- Ensure loss prevention and protect company assets, including store cash.
- Maintain store cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
- Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
- Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be able to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
- Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment is required.
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
