Back Office Lead; Medical Assistant

We’re currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Back Office Medical Assistant to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting clinical operations and patient care.

The Lead Back Office Medical Assistant will oversee daily clinical functions, support providers with patient care, and help ensure efficient workflows in our busy cardiology clinic. This is a leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, clinical competency, and a team-oriented mindset.

• Supervise and support back office medical assistants and clinical workflows.
• Prepare exam rooms, obtain vital signs, and document patient histories.
• Assist providers during cardiac exams, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical protocols.
• Maintain medical supplies and equipment.
• Oversee scheduling of diagnostic tests and follow-up care.
• Train and mentor new back office staff.
• Serve as liaison between front office, clinical team, and providers.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives.

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
• Minimum 3 years of back office medical assisting experience, preferably in cardiology or internal medicine.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EKG, Holter monitor setup, stress testing, and sterile technique.
• EMR experience required (eClinical
  
  Works a plus).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
