Job Title: Director of Children, Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministries
Location: Murrieta United Methodist Church – Murrieta, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: based on experience.

Murrieta UMC a theologically progressive, welcoming United Methodist Church, is seeking a passionate and organized leader to oversee and grow our ministries for children, youth, young adults, and families. This full-time role includes Sunday School, youth fellowship, seasonal programs (like VBS), volunteer coordination, and connecting with the community.

All Murrieta United Methodist Church personnel are hired to support the church’s Vision to build a community where ALL are welcome to grow in faith in Jesus; through study, worship, prayer, and an invitation to serve God, our neighbor, and beyond, with the goal of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World.

• Lead Christian education for infants through young adults.
• Coordinate youth programming, Bible study, and service projects.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
• Develop programs that engage children, youth, young adults and families in spiritual growth.
• Communicate through church methods, social media, and more.

• Strong Christian commitment and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with children/youth in church or education.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certified (or willing to become).
• Background check and Livescan required (to be completed upon hire and prior to working with Children or Youth).
