As a Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Murrieta, CA
.

• In-Person Tutoring in Murrieta, CA
• Schedule:
  
  Weekdays 3pm onwards
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Focus Area: ELA and Math

• Background in English, writing, sociology, education, or a related field
• Experience supporting college-level students or high school graduates transitioning to higher education
• Strong understanding of executive functioning strategies and how to support students with learning differences
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to teach essay structure and analytical thinking
• Patient, laid-back, and engaging personality — able to build rapport and adjust pace to meet student needs
• Ability to model academic independence and foster confidence in a supportive way

• Provide structured, step-by-step support in reading comprehension, critical analysis, and academic writing
• Assist with essay planning, development, editing, and understanding language conventions and structure
• Support note-taking skills, study strategies, and application of sociological concepts in written assignments
• Help the student develop executive functioning skills, including task initiation, time management, and organization
• Break down large assignments and projects into smaller, manageable steps with clear deadlines
• Offer consistent reinforcement of academic concepts and coaching for study habits
• Create a patient, low-pressure, and encouraging learning environment to build rapport and trust over time
• Integrate student s interests (e.g., sports, Formula 1, video games) when appropriate to maintain engagement and motivation
