Serve as Manager of existing environmental education programs and assist with/create new education programs and projects. Founded in 2003, the Santa Rosa Plateau Foundation, Inc. (DBA The Nature Education Foundation – TNEF) is a California tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit. Its mission is to educate and empower youth to appreciate, preserve, and protect nature. It funds, develops, and implements environmental education programs for students in grades 3–12.
This is accomplished in collaboration with local school districts, the Riverside County Regional Park and Open Space District, and the Riverside County Office of Education. The successful candidate will be the liaison between TNEF and its education partners..org

Salary Range: Hourly – $31,000 – $50,000
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work within current local school district arrangement(s) to sustain the high school Phenology/Youth Citizen Scientist Program.
- Work with Executive Director to network with other school districts served by TNEF to build on current relationships.
- Oversee the implementation of annual Nature Education Resource Forum (NERF) and Family Wildlife Day, two education events held at the SRPER. Assist with implementation of the “Kid’s Ride Park” at TNEF’s annual Kids’ Ride into Nature Car Show.
- Work with Education Committee to design an environmental education community event for the purpose of gathering community input to identify environmental education needs that may be provided by TNEF.
- Coordinate/conduct current elementary and middle school trout-in-the-classroom programs.
- Assist with grant writing in support of existing and new nature education programming.
- Represent TNEF at certain community events and meetings.
- Serve on, and provide program updates to, the monthly TNEF Education Committee meetings.
- Stay current on State NGSS, EEI, STEM requirements that would affect TNEF program content.
- Maintain TNEF’s membership/affiliations with local education organizations, i.e., Riverside County Office of Education District Science Leaders, The National Phenology Network, Native Plant Network.

A.Education and/or Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Education or related field and four years’ teaching experience in related work.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- Hold a current California teaching or substitute certificate.
- Hold a current driver’s license.
