Retail Supervisor

Overview

Supervises Retail Sales Floor activities to ensure that goals are met. Will serve, at times, as “Supervisor in Charge” of entire facility. Responsible for assuring a high level of guest and donor service. Must ensure that Easterseals-Goodwill policies and procedures are uniformly enforced and followed. Cross-training required in all aspects of Goodwill. Performs duties according to the established Best Practices of ESGW.

Must be able to work flexible hours (weekends and evenings a must).

• Supervises Retail Sales Floor activities to ensure goals are met.
• Serve as “Supervisor in Charge” of the facility when needed.
• Ensure a high level of guest and donor service.
• Enforce ESGW policies and procedures consistently.
• Cross-train in all aspects of Goodwill operations.
• Follow established Best Practices of ESGW.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Be responsive to changing needs due to donations flow and processing requirements; move between assignments as priorities change.
• Cross-train and assist in all aspects of retail operations.

• Sensitive to guest needs and wishes.
• Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities or other special needs preferred.
• Must have computer experience and be competent in internet use and a variety of computer software applications.
• Must have strong interpersonal, communication, monetary, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in order to communicate with staff and guests.

• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
• Able to lift and carry 20-100 pounds with team lifting or mechanical assistance.
• Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods.
• Able to stand and walk entire shift.
• Tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends or longer shifts if needed.
• May be required to work more than 40 hours per week.
