About This RoleAdvanced Practice Provider (APP; physician assistant or nurse practitioner) will be a vital member of the neurosciences team at Intermountain Medical Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level I Trauma Center in Murray, Utah. The APP assists neurosurgeons in the care of hospitalized patients with a variety of neurosurgical conditions, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, tumors, etc.
After orientation, the APP will provide care in inpatient, outpatient, neurosurgical trauma, and neurocritical settings. The primary responsibility is inpatient care of neurosurgery patients, with additional duties such as consulting on ER patients, new hospital consults, first assist with emergent surgeries, rounding with the Neurosurgery Care Coordination team, and serving as a resource to nursing staff. The APP may answer call pages from floor, ER, clinic, and answering service.

- Practicing at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.
- Inpatient care of neurosurgery patients and consultation on patients in the ER and hospital.
- 24/7 coverage, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Average 36 shift hours per week; varying 8‑12 hour shifts with a 4‑week rotating schedule.

What You’ll Bring- APRN or PA‑C degree from an accredited program.
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
- BLS certification and DEA registration.
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
- Prior neurosurgery, neuro critical care, ICU, or hospitalist experience.

Schedule40 hours per week. Hourly rate $56.76 – $87.59, dependent on experience.
