Registered Nurse Employee Health Coordinator
Oversee the Employee Health function, including implementing and maintaining programs that encourage injury prevention and provide care and coordination of treatment for employees. Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement employee health policies, procedures, programs, and services that promote the health/safety of employees. Promote patient safety by monitoring employee medical fitness for duty and meeting regulatory requirements. Represent Employee Health in a variety of settings and provide education to staff relating to this area.

Part time benefits available - Shift Details: 24 hours/week, three 8‑hour shifts (Monday, Friday, with the option to work Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday). After six months in the position, on‑call shifts will be required.

Two years of clinical nursing experience required; previous occupational health nurse experience and COHN certification preferred.
- Clinical Coordination
- Ensures compliance with occupational health standards and labor laws, coordinates and tracks employee health services and hazard surveillance, supports injury prevention, and provides restorative services for employees with occupational illnesses or injuries.
- Leadership
- Coordinates and improves employee health programs, develops and implements health initiatives aligned with organizational goals, standardizes health protocols and policies, provides leadership in achieving health goals, and collaborates with the Infection Preventionist on infectious disease management.
- Consultation / Liaison
- Serves on committees, provides expertise and consultation to health teams and leadership, collaborates with the Workers Compensation team, and works with Human Resources on ADA cases, leave of absence, FMLA, and health‑related performance issues.
- Education
- Responsible for educating staff on preventing and treating occupational injuries and illnesses, assessing their educational needs, and facilitating the development and implementation of relevant training programs.

- Utilizes current research to enhance care and develop employee health standards while maintaining a global perspective on the evolving health environment at all levels.

- Minimum Qualifications
- RNs hired or promoted into this role must have or obtain their BSN within three years of hire or promotion.
- Current RN license for the state in which the nurse practices, and Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
- COHN and/or Case Management certifications from ABOHN.
- Experience in Employee/Occupational Health and leadership experience.
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess patient needs.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, etc.

PayBase pay range: $40.00/hr – $60.00/hr
Hourly range for this position: $40.39 – $60.96
