offset press helper/feeder
responsibilities- arrive before the operator to coordinate the jobs on the schedule with the helper from the previous shift or if no one is running, prep the press for the operator to begin their shift.
- locate plates, inks, paper and all other necessary supplies to get the next job ready.
- monitor ink levels, water levels (fountain solution) and coating levels during the run to assure that the operator does not run out.
- assist with offloading the press skids from the delivery and verify that the load tags and the job numbers match.
- assist with the quality control procedures that are in place.
- assist with any maintainence or preventitive maintainence on the press, including weekly, monthly and quarterly.
- when time allows, work with the operator to gain a working knowledge of the press and its individual functions to eventually work up to becoming a pressman.
- other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
2-4 years experience preferred
additional informationhours: 2nd shift - monday thru thursday working 4/10 hour shifts - 4:30pm to 2:30am
