Position Summary

Sizzling Platter is a franchise growth platform operating more than 800 restaurants across the United States and Mexico. Founded in 1963, we’ve built a powerful platform focused on scaling category-leading brands in high-opportunity markets. Our Support Center, located in Murray, Utah, supports a growing team of more than 14,000 employees.

Our current restaurant brands include Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Sizzler Steakhouse, Dunkin’, Wingstop, Little Caesars, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Jamba, and Cinnabon.

Our mission is to provide unparalleled experiences for our team members, guests, and brands while driving strong financial performance and becoming the world’s premier franchise growth platform.

Sizzling Platter is transitioning from opportunistic expansion to intentional, portfolio-driven growth as its core brands mature. The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for defining and executing the company’s enterprise growth strategy across organic development, acquisitions, and market expansion.

This executive role owns the where, why, and how of growth, ensuring that every investment aligns with strategic priorities, meets defined return thresholds, maintains disciplined leverage, and expands long-term market opportunity across the company’s brand portfolio.

The CGO partners closely with the CEO, CFO, brand leadership, and development teams to drive sustainable growth and long-term enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities Enterprise Growth & Market Strategy
  • Define and continuously refine market-level growth strategies across all brands, including density expansion and new market entry.
  • Quantify and monitor remaining whitespace by market and brand, including store density, cannibalization risk, and long-term growth runway.
  • Translate strategy into a prioritized multi-year roadmap guiding development, acquisitions, and capital deployment.
  • Lead franchisee and platform acquisition strategy aligned with market priorities and enterprise return thresholds.
  • Build and maintain a proactive, market-driven M&A pipeline.
  • Establish disciplined underwriting standards including IRR modeling, leverage impact, whitespace assumptions, and exit sensitivity analysis.
  • Partner with the CEO and CFO on capital structure and equity return considerations.
Post-Acquisition Performance
  • Partner with Brand Presidents and Finance to ensure acquisitions perform against underwriting assumptions.
  • Drive accountability for margin improvement, operating leverage, and whitespace conversion during the first 12–24 months post-acquisition.
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Board on capital deployment decisions across organic growth, acquisitions, leverage, and equity utilization.
  • Evaluate growth opportunities using risk-adjusted, return-based frameworks across brands and investment types.
  • Shape the enterprise portfolio to optimize market density, return durability, and long-term value creation.
Development & Brand Alignment
  • Provide strategic direction to the development organization through market prioritization, timing, and sequencing.
  • Serve as a senior strategic partner to franchisors on territory strategy, development commitments, and long-term platform growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in multi-unit growth, corporate development, private equity, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation, and portfolio strategy
  • Strong financial modeling and strategic analysis capabilities
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams, boards, or private equity partners preferred

  • Executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with board-level stakeholders
  • Collaborative, proactive, and relationship-driven leadership style
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on long-term value creation
