Part Time Custodian, Evening

is the premier IICRC-approved school and consulting firm offering certification classes in water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire and smoke cleanup, contents processing, and more. We are looking for a custodian to join our team!

This is a part-time, after-hours/evening position for a custodian and housekeeper. The custodian position will be responsible for keeping our classroom and office clean and looking immaculate!

This position will be scheduled for after-hours/evening shifts after 5pm. Hours will fluctuate depending on whether we have a class that week. If we have a class, this position will come in every day after class to do a general clean, take out trash, restock bathroom supplies, etc. This will usually be 1 hour in the evenings. As the class schedule changes month to month, we will provide a list of shifts the month before.

Perform a weekly thorough cleaning of the entire office, including all bathrooms, offices, classrooms, and hallways. This deep clean consists of taking out trash, restocking supplies, mopping and vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning offices, and similar tasks. This will usually be 3-4 hours scheduled on a Wednesday evening.

With a fluctuating class schedule, this position will generally work 3-8 hours each week.

• Must have a custodial background.
• We need hardworking individuals who can independently lift and position objects weighing as much as 50 pounds.
• You will also need to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
• You will complete vital tasks, handle basic issues, and solve problems professionally.
• We need someone who can work alone without constant supervision after hours. This position will be scheduled after business hours and will work independently in the office.
• Our work involves various cleaning solvents and chemicals, and we need employees who will align with all regulations associated with the safe handling of chemicals and can work in damp, dusty, and/or dirty areas.
• Our employees must be able to read, comprehend, and communicate in English for training, building security and safety purposes, including asking clarifying questions as needed.

• Sanitize public areas, offices, and restrooms as assigned (yes, this means cleaning toilets!)
• Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, windowsills, wood paneling, etc.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms
• Take our trash and replace it with clean liners
• Vacuum the classroom and offices
• Wipe tables and desk
• General cleaning
• Report safety or security issues and needed repairs

• $18/hour
