The IT Security Manager will play an integral role in operational Cyber Security and Network Management for Fin Wise Bank. The ideal candidate will have networking and hands‑on Cyber Security experience as well as a good grasp of banking business processes. The IT Security Manager is responsible for managing all the technical aspects of Fin Wise Bank’s network, including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, etc.

This role is also responsible for Fin Wise Bank’s Cyber Security tools and operations, including Cyber Security Analysts. The IT Security Manager will work closely with the Information Systems and Information Security teams to ensure the infrastructure meets the performance and security needs of the bank. The IT Security Manager reports to the Chief Technology Officer.

Tasks
  • Manages and maintains the technical aspects of Fin Wise Bank’s network, including firewalls, switches, and wireless networks.
  • Oversees the implementation and operation of cyber security tools and processes.
  • Leads and mentors a team of cyber security analysts.
  • Collaborates with Information Systems and Information Security teams to ensure the security and performance of the bank’s infrastructure.
  • Develops and enforces security policies and procedures.
  • Monitors network traffic for unusual activity and responds to security incidents.
  • Manages and designs a multi-site, multi-cloud network.
  • Stays up to date with the latest network technologies, cyber security trends and threats.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must demonstrate ability to design and troubleshoot a complex network.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth).
  • Knowledge of network traffic analysis, network systems management principles, models, methods (e.g., end-to-end systems performance monitoring), and tools.
  • Knowledge of current threats and new threats as well as emerging information technology (IT) and cybersecurity technologies.
Required Education / Experience / License
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and other network technologies.
  • Knowledge of cyber security tools and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proven experience in network management and cyber security.
  • 8 Years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education / Experience / License
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
  • Banking Experience or Highly Regulated Industry.
  • Strong Mentorship and performance management experience.
  • Two to five or more years of related experience within a financial institution.
  • DLP Implementation and management experience.
