About the Role:The Controller is a key member of the firm’s financial leadership team, responsible for overseeing accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely, GAAP‑compliant financial reporting. This role partners closely with the CFO and leadership team to strengthen internal controls, improve processes, and support informed business decisions as the firm continues to grow.

Working with Multiple Clients
- Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation
- Maintain the general ledger, balance sheet schedules, and supporting documentation
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and cash management
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and variance analyses for leadership
- Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules and track asset balances
- Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Help design, document, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
- Support annual audit and tax processes, working with external auditors and advisors
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency across the accounting function
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance to accounting staff and bookkeepers
- Ensure appropriate delegation of transactional work while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with firm leadership to support operational and strategic initiatives
- Serve as a reliable financial resource for internal stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month‑end close and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Experience working in a professional services, advisory, or multi‑client environment preferred
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
