As a Utility Technician for OPC, safety is your top priority, both for yourself and customers you serve. You'll perform essential home service installations that improve comfort and protection, all while building a stable and rewarding career.

You will …

• Prepare and install services such as attic remediations, crawl space encapsulations, gutter protection systems and other home service products;
• complete all required service‑related documentation;
• work in a variety of environments including rooftops, crawl spaces, attics, etc.;
• Safely operate a company vehicle, including larger capacity box trucks;

…And serve as a key member of the branch team!

• Must be at least 18 years old;
• Must have at least 1 year general carpentry experience;
• Valid driver's license must be maintained through life of employment;
• Must maintain a good driving record and be able to pass criminal history background check, physical exam and drug screen.

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

Candidates must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity;
• Constant walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing on ladders and roofs, reaching overhead, and squeezing with both hands;
• Install encapsulation in low light conditions;
• Lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs;
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.;
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, sleet, hail, snow and ice;
• Noise level in work environment is generally loud depending on worksite where assigned, such as in new construction, while vacuuming insulation, etc.
