Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a technician with deep expertise in diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across a wide range of vehicles. Your precision and diagnostic accuracy will be essential in ensuring repairs are performed correctly the first time.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced diagnostics on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
- Analyze and interpret scan tool data, trouble codes, wiring diagrams, and OEM service information.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify root causes of issues.
- Communicate findings and recommended repairs with service advisors and fellow technicians.
- Document all work accurately and clearly.
- Use and maintain up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure all repairs meet high standards for quality, safety, and reliability.
- Follow shop procedures and safety guidelines.
- Stay informed on industry trends and evolving vehicle technology.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- ASE Certification(s) required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Expert-level proficiency with diagnostic tools such as scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems and electronic controls.
- Ability to read and interpret factory service manuals, schematics, and technical bulletins.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
